Johan Hemelaere
As the founder of Horatius Capital Partners, Johan Hemelaere obtained the official status of asset manager from the FSMA in 1991. Following a 15-year career as a sales manager in the medical sector, he worked voluntarily and unpaid at the prestigious Amsterdam brokerage firm Stroeve, where he specialized in portfolio management.
Inspired by this experience, he began managing assets independently that same year. With extensive knowledge, years of experience, and a commitment to continuous education, Johan Hemelaere has been refining his career as a value investor since 1987.

Lana Hemelaere
Lana Hemelaere, daughter of Johan Hemelaere, officially joined Horatius Capital Partners in September 2022 after working for two years as Head of the Legal Department and Investor Relations at a boutique private equity firm in London.
Lana holds two master’s degrees in Tax Law, one from the Vrije Universiteit Brussel and another from Queen Mary University of London. Additionally, she has completed two advanced courses: one in Real Estate & Finance at the London School of Economics and another in Value Investing at Berkeley University.

Geert Verdruye
Geert Verdruye is a senior private banker at Patrimundi, a leading asset management company in Luxembourg. With over 30 years of experience in wealth management at various private banks, Geert began his career at BNP Paribas and served as Vice President at Quilvest.
He is also a director at multiple Alternative Investment Funds (AIFs) in Luxembourg and holds the status of a Certified Director from the GUBERNA Institute for Directors. Geert is a member of several Boards of Directors.

Johan Speecke
Johan Speecke has been a practicing lawyer since 1992, specializing in tax law (procedures). He is currently a Senior Director at Deloitte Legal. Johan is also a professor at Ghent University and the Fiscale Hogeschool, where he lectures on tax procedures.
He has authored several articles and published his own book on various aspects and implications of tax law.

Alex De Witte
Alex De Witte has been the CEO of Baltisse Real Estate since 2013, focusing on both real estate developments and investments in the Benelux, Romania, Poland, and the US. Baltisse Real Estate operates in various real estate sectors, including offices, retail, logistics, senior living, hospitality, and residential properties. Previously, Alex also served as CEO of Pylos Benelux and held directorial roles at Bouwfonds (Rabobank) and Allfin (the predecessor of Immobel).
Alex holds a master's degree in Law from K.U. Leuven, as well as a master's degree in Marketing from Vlerick Business School.
In addition, Alex is a member of several Boards of Directors and Advisory Boards, both within and beyond the real estate sector.

Jean-Christophe Seynaeve
Jos De Vuyst joined Stow Group 35 years ago and played a key role in its growth into a European market leader in industrial storage solutions. Under his leadership, the company evolved from a family business into a division of a publicly traded company and, since 2013, following a management buyout with private equity, into an independent and innovative player.
He describes the private equity phase as the most challenging and exciting period of his career. In 2022, Stow Group reached a revenue of €1 billion, with excellent profitability and more than 2,200 employees. Jos strongly focuses on international expansion, including in the U.S. In 2022, he founded Stow Robotics (now Movu Robotics), which has grown into a leading player in warehouse automation.
Jos holds a master's degree in Engineering and an MBA from Ghent University and Vlerick Business School. He is also active on various boards of directors.

Eddy Duquenne
After completing his studies in Applied Economics, Eddy Duquenne began his career at Fortis in Corporate & Investment Banking. In 1999, he became CEO of the Sunparks Group, where he led a restructuring that resulted in the company's sale to Pierre & Vacances in 2007.
Since then, Eddy Duquenne has been the CEO of Kinepolis Group. From the outset, he has focused on customer orientation and innovation, optimizing the Group’s real estate usage, and expanding its B2B, film distribution, and screen advertising activities. He successfully improved Kinepolis’s financial performance through in-depth restructuring and the expansion of the Group into new countries. Throughout this process, he implemented the sustainable and self-learning principles of the Kinepolis organization.
Under his leadership, the Group has grown from 23 to 110 cinema complexes, including expansion into new markets such as the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Canada, and the U.S.
Additionally, Eddy served as a board member at GIMV for six years.
